So everybody has skeletons in their closet and I think I’ve probably got a full graveyard, it might be worth a Google of my name just to see what my past life was like.
I used to be an international DJ, so travelling for almost 20 years and being paid to go all around the world, playing to thousands of people, it’s not the normal transition into real estate by any stretch.
In between DJing and real estate, I became a personal trainer (not that you would believe it these days), and I owned gyms and had a pretty successful run at that until for family reasons I moved to New Zealand and then ended up in Australia. I was trying to run the business from literally the other side of the world and, it worked for a while but then my manager had a nervous breakdown and things went, well, sideways let’s say.
At 40 years old I had to start from scratch, I thought ‘What do I do now?’
My best friend here in Australia was a pretty successful real estate agent and he kept telling me I’d be good at it. I bought some suits and did my real estate course, and it turns out he was right, I was good at it.
